Below are the two tests I have done as far as breath testing for SIBO (Small Intestine Bacterial Overgrowth)

These tests differ in several ways as they can be orders to use different substrates (Glucose or Lactulose) these can cause different reactions depending on what you specific issues might be. I would prepare for diarrhea for these tests post the test time, or possibly during it. Overall this test is very easy to perform just make sure to read the instructions well or watch the video for the test you might be doing. It is important to get the timing correct and also collect the air samples properly. Also the diet before the test is important to get proper results.

The CDI test from commdx.com I have yet to do as you need to be off of any antibiotics for two weeks before these tests for obvious reasons as antibiotics can effect gut microbioita and thus the test results would be screwed from when not on them. I am currently on them for another issue and will need to complete this test when those are out of my system. Because while there is nothing like need to prep for testing, these is really nothing better than having to do it twice and pay for it twice.

I highly recommend that all testing is done under the supervision of a Doctor so you have a testing plan. Also you will 100% need someone to interpret the results and then compare those results to clinical studies or better yet a large poll of patients the doctor is already seeing. Also a testing plan will save you money as it will hopefully keep you from having to repeat tests.
